Chang continues Asian Tour domination with victory in in Kuala Lumpur

Taiwan's Jung-Lin Chang won his fourth title in a row and third of the season by taking the Kuala Lumpur leg of the Guinness Asian 9-ball Tour.

In the final he defeated Antonio Gabica (Phillipines) 11-6.

Chang received $15,000 for the win. Babica got $6,000 for second place.

Ryu Seung Woo (South Korea) and Hung-Hsiang Wang (Taiwan) shared third place.

Chang is on a terrific run. He has now won all three events of the current season, four Tour events in a row and six of the last nine, including the last three Malaysia events.

Naturally the Taiwan cueist dominates the ranking list. Wang, Joven Bustamente (Philippines) and Ching-Shun Yang (Taiwan) shares second place.

The competition was held May 30 - June 1 at Genting Highlands, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This was the third of four events on the 2008 Guinness 9 Ball Tour. Next stop is in Singapore from 25-27 July. The last is the Grand Final in Jakarta which is comprised of the top 10 in the overall Order of Merit.

It's Chang again in Penang's Asian Tour event

Taiwan's Jung-Lin Chang won his third title in a row by taking the Penang leg of the Guinness Asian 9-ball Tour.

In the final he beat compatriot Hung-Hsiang Wang 11-7.

The event was totally dominated by the Asian island nation. In the semifinals Chang defeated former world champion Chia-Ching Wu and Wang beat Chin-Shun Yang.

Chang received $15,000 for the win. Wang got $6,000 for second place.

The talented Chang is on a terrific run. He has now won three Tour events in a row and five of the last eight, including last year's Malaysia event.

He of course heads the ranking list. Joven Bustamente (Philippines) and Yang shares second place. Wu and Wang lies in joint fourth.

The competition was held April 4-6 at the G Hotel, Penang, Malaysia. The tour stays in Malaysia. Next stop is in Genting on 30 May - June 1. There are a total of six events in the Tour. The last is the Grand Final in Jakarta which is comprised of the top 10 in the overall Order of Merit.

Chang rules in Malaysia for second Asian Tour title of the season

Taiwan's Jun-Ling Chang won the Malaysia leg of the Guinness Asian 9-ball Tour.

In the final he beat India's Dharminder Singh Lilly 11-8 to claim the trophy and bag the winner's cheque of $15,000.

With this victory Chang moves to the top of the Order of Merit. The top three is still all-Taiwanese with Chao Fong-Pang in second and Ching-shun Yang in third.

Chang also won the Jakarta event earlier in the season.

The competition was held June 15-17 at the Genting Highlands Resort, Malaysia. It was the third event of the season. Next stop is Singapore on July 13-15.

There are a total of six events in the Tour. The top 10 finishers in the Order of Merit will earn spots in the 2007 World Pool Championship.
