Taiwan's Jung-lin Chang won the opening leg of the Guinness Asian 9-ball Tour.In the final he beat Filipino Lee Vann Corteza 11-5 to claim the trophy and $15,000.
Defending champion Efren Reyes (Philippines) and several other stars are boycotting the Tour because San Miguel was dropped as tour sponsor.
The competition was held April 20-22 at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia. Next stop is Kaohsiung, Taiwan on May 18-20. There are a total of six events in the Tour. The top 10 finishers in the Order of Merit will earn spots in the 2007 World Pool Championship.
