Ireland's Karen Corr won the WPBA Midwest Classic for the second year running.In the final she defeated Allison Fisher (England) 7-5. Ga Young Kim (South Korea) shared third place with Sarah Ellerby (England).
This was Karen's third Midwest Classic trophy. She also won in 2001. It was her second Classic Tour victory of the season and 22nd of her career.
The victory cements her second place spot in the WPBA rankings. Allison Fisher is still in first place and Kim moves up to third.
The event took place from October 3-7 in the Riverwind Casino, Norman, Oklahoma. It was the seventh event of eight this season on the Classic Tour. Next up is the
Cuetec Cues WPBA National 9-Ball Championship, November 7-11, in Lincoln City, Oregon.
