Belgium's Eddy Merckx won the European Three Cushion Championship.In the final against fellow Belgian and defending champion Frédéric Caudron he came back from 1-9 down in the fifth and deciding set. Daniel Sanchez (Spain) and Dick Jaspers from Netherlands captured the bronze medals. Jaspers also came third last year.
Merckx is alse the reigning three cushion world champion and is sixth in the current World Players Ranking.
The event took place May 17-20 in Salon de Provence, France.
