Taiwan's Ching-Shun Yang won the Singapore leg of the Guinness Asian 9-ball Tour.In the final he beat Malaysia's Ibrahim Amir 11-8 to claim the $15,000 first prize. Alex Pagulayan (Philippines) and Chia-Ching Wu (Taiwan) shared third place.
Yang also won the Kaohsiung event earlier in the season.
With this win Yang moves to the top of the Order of Merit. Fellow Taiwanese Jung-Lin Chang is only five points back in second.
The top 10 finishers in the Order of Merit will earn spots in the 2007 World Pool Championship.
The event was held July 13-15 at the Orchid Country Club, Singapore. It was the fourth event of six this season. Next stop is Shanghai, China on August 3-5.
