Orcollo grabs China Asian Tour win

Dennis Orcollo from the Philippines won the Guangzhou leg of the Guinness Asian 9-ball Tour.

In the final he edged Hung-Hsiang Wang from Taiwan 11-9 to take the $15,000 first-place cheque. Wang got $6,000 for second place.

That's two finals in a row for the Filipino. He finished second in the previous event. His conqueror in that final, Alex Pagulayan (Philippines), shared third place with Ching-Shun Yan from Taiwan.

With this win Orcollo moves from 10th to sixth in the ranking list. Wang advances to third place. Jung-Lin Chang (Taiwan) is still in the lead, with Yang holding on to the second spot.

The competition was held 19-21 September, 2008 at the Garden Hall in Guangzhou, China. This was the fifth of six events on the 2008 Guinness 9 Ball Tour. The last stop is the Grand Final in Jakarta, Indonesia which is comprised of the top 10 in the overall Order of Merit:
